The school imparts education from Prep to the Senior Secondary Level.

It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

The school is managed by a School Managing Committee appointed by MECON, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Approximately 889 students have qualified in medical entrance during 1980 to 2005.

The school education is imparted till the twelfth standard.

An assessment test is held every week to assess the academic performance of the students of classes PREP to V.The annual assessment test is held in the month of March. In an academic year, Terminal exams and an Annual Examination are held with class tests in between, for classes VI to XII.

Continuous assessments of students are taken into consideration while promoting them to the next class. To pass in a subject a student must secure at least 33% marks.

A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for all students. Students with attendance below minimum prescribed level are not allowed to appear in the annual examination. If a student fails in a class for two consecutive years he/she is not allowed to continue in the school and a transfer certificate is issued.

Priyajit Laha Memorial Award: It is given away to the topper of English in the Board Examination of X & XII.

Merit -cum-means Scholarship: The school management grants this scholarship to thirty (30) deserving students.

Indira Wazir Scholarship: It is granted to three (3) girl students of X, XI and XII on merit-cum-means basis.
